AAKTP PROJECT TEAM VISITS CPC
The AAKTP Project Team from KNUST (Ms. Belinda Ntow, KTP Associate and Prof. Jacob K. Agbenorhevi, Knowledge Base Lead Academic/KNUST PI) visited Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) for the project meeting/works.
Prof. Agbenorhevi also took the opportunity to present a citation from FST-KNUST (as part of the FST@20 anniversary) in honor of CPC for their continued collaboration and support.
The Managing Director of CPC, Hon. Kojo Ofori Sarfo received the citation on behalf of CPC. He was pleased with the recognition from FST-KNUST and pledged to continue with the collaboration/support for greater impacts. Present were the Deputy Managing Director, Dr. Frank Asante (Chair/Project Manager at CPC) and Ms. Genevieve Pawar, R&D Manager/Company Supervisor), other CPC Managers and Dr. Fidelis Kpodo (UHAS/Knowledge Base Supervisor).
Ms. Belinda Ntow has been appointed the KTP Associate on the AAKTP Project to work with KNUST, UHAS, CPC and UoH-UK to explore the use of local sources of novel pectin in chocolate formulations.
All partners are hopeful for a successful collaborative project that will result in new chocolate products with pectin from local source materials.
