Course Objectives

The course is aimed at:

  • Offering the students a good command of the basic principles of Food Science and Technology and applying this understanding to the growing and dynamic needs of the Food and Beverage Industries.
  • Making the students master the role of Food Science and Technology with respect to value addition to raw agro products, industrialization and national development.
  • Encouraging students to develop problem-based and learning approaches together with critical thinking skills. The ultimate aim is to consolidate their training in basic science and engineering principles to ameliorate problems that plague the food industries.
