Among those invited young scholars, was one of our own, Mr. Redeemer Kofi Agbolegbe,  a Principal Technician at the Food Science Laboratory who participated in person in Nairobi, Kenya, at Villa Rosa Kempinski. All the scholars presented insightful research papers, enriching the discourse with nuanced perspectives and empirical findings.

Redeemer presented on the topic ‘Contrasting the cocoa bean quality resulting from heaped fermentation with Thaumatococcus daniellii and Musa sapientum leaves’. Panel discussions on the topic brought to light the need to employ other safe materials to aid in the fermentation processes of cocoa bean.

Beyond the formal sessions, the conference fostered invaluable networking opportunities, facilitating interactions among participants from diverse backgrounds, including scholars, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts. Amidst these exchanges, a profound commitment to action emerged, with participants vowing to galvanize collective efforts across governmental, academic, civil society, and private sectors to realize AfCFTA's transformative potential.
